It's Greg Here - C$'s Dad.

What a week it has been. I have written dozens of drafts for this post. These drafts contained so much venom about how the world has wronged me, by taking my special boy away. I have sworn at God, and cursed all aspects of life and love and faith.

But today I realised this situation I find myself in is not about me. I don't have to be angry, I don't have to be scared.

Charlie does not want me to be scared or angry.

I feel him around me everywhere. In everything I say and everything I do. He inspired me to heights and achievements I never thought possible. I was so caught up in what I could do for myself, that i missed the big picture. Charlie showed me what I could do for others. I truly have an amazing incredible ability

I am sure this will sound like I am going mad

At the time I was writing that, I got a very strong message from Charlie that he is ok. It has left me with tears in my eyes and goosebumps on my skin.

I am sure that I will come across as a nut if I tell you all what happened, so i will keep it to myself. But I know now he is ok, he is with me, and he doesn't want us to cry for him anymore.

Thanks to everydoggy who has been a friend of Charlie's. Thanks to everydoggy who left a comment here for him this week. Charlie was not just a dog, he was an extreme inspiration who showed me how to love, and live life to the fullest. Its ALL an adventure, and it was that adventure that Charlie loved most about life.

He was my best friend.

I am very sorry to inform you all that Charlie passed away this morning.
He was happy and playing with his toys at 6.30, and by 9.30 he was gone. He was the greatest friend I have ever had, and I love him with all my heart until the day we meet again.

Hey Pups!

I went to see Dr Peter today for my 1 year pacemaker-versary check up, and in the last 6 months my heart has been beating at 100 beats per minute, 100% of the time! That's a perfect score!

So to celebrate, here's a picture of my tootsie's :)

Dad said I needed to put some other pics here as well just in case other doggies wanna see my moosh, so I put these here too, just to shut him up. But we all know it's my paws everydoggy comes here to see:)

Hi Puppers,

I hope you are all well! I have been pretty good, but I think I have got a little wizz infection. Dr Nick though I had a kidney problem, but it was just my heart meds making the results a little funky, but it did show some bacteria so I have to go see him tomorrow for a shot. That means I get to go in the car! YIPPERS!

It's also 1 year ago today that I got my pacemaker fitted!

I have been looking around and I cant find some of my toys, so I decided to do a toy-stocktake. I am pretty sure there are some missing, because mum steals from me! She puts stuff in the trash without asking all of the time! How Rude!

As I am sure you are aware, it has been quiet a hive of activity around here. Firstly, We have had a family meeting and we ALL agree that Marvin's Mum was THE BEST house guest we have EVER HAD! She was so much fun, and we all got used to her being here, and now she's gone the house feels a bit empty :(

I hope you are all well!

I got a special treat today - A big fat juicy bone!

I havent had one for a long time on the account of my ticker, cos I get a bit puffed after I eat them. But today, mum said my breath had reached and all time low! (Which translated into K9 means my breathe was pawsome and she is so jealous that her breath doesnt smell anywhere near as good as mine! You see, you just have to reverse everything they say coz humans are wired backwards for some reason:-)

So here's me chompin!

It was TOTALLY YUMMALICIOUS!

But it did make my nose all wet, and dad just LOVES it when I put my whet nose in his armpit :-)

Hey puppers,

I hope you have all been doing well!

I started to smell REALLY REALLY good, but as usual, my humans felt the need to "Do something about this". Why do they always have to take away our fun? Humans are stupid!

Anyways, I went to Dr Nicks kennel and I had the sweetest warmest hydro-bath, and now I dont smell good anymore, well, my humans think I do, but as stated previously, they are stupid!

The best part though, Dr Nick listened REALLY hard and for a heaps long time to my lungs and heart and all of those other tasty meaty parts of me that I cant eat, and I am sure my humans thought "oh my dog, he can here something, this is bad, this is bad, THIS IS BAD!", but it was just the opposite! He was trying to hear something, anything, out of the ordinary, but he couldnt. My heart/pacemaker is spot on, my lungs are clear, and there's no crackles or congestion! How freeeeking good am I! Im sure im gonna get extra treats tonight :)

They even clipped my claws which was good, cos they were a bit long.

And then I got my fart-trophy!

I dont understand why my prize was a big needle in back? It didnt hurt, but it did make my hips feel better?

(my dad said I got cartrophen, but I am sure I was gittin a Fart Trophy!)

Then we got to go in mums car which is ALWAYS super sweet fun! Dad got the camera out, and I couldnt resist the urge to mess with him a little, so I did my "Sniper-Dog" routine:

It was so funny, Opy HATES the car so much, so she just sits and looks at anything that is in the opposite direction to the humans. She is still not talking to them :)

I barked at dad to make a gift that I could give to all the cool humans at Dr Nicks and Dr Peters (on the account of they keep ol C$ alive an all), so he made a calendar for them! Now they can mark out my next appointment and count down the days til they get to see me again! And if you would like a C$ calendar, you can print it out too! Here tis!

Huuuge thanks to all of the pups who left comments and sent emails to Opy and I, we are safe and so far have not been in any direct danger from the bushfires. The sky looks yellow and is really stinky at our kennel, but we've been barking at the fire and I think we scared it away!

But now there is anutha problem that requires ALL DWB pups and CWB kitties to bark and meow together. DWB's very first doggy, and one of my bestest friends in the whole world, Bogart, is very worried because his human daddy is very very sick. Please visit Bogarts blog and tell him and his mommy that we are all wooing together for a miracle.

Mum and dad shot a lot of video footage around our kennel today, and dad even taped over some of it, which really made him Gruff (that was so funny!) But we have just learned that 14 people are confirmed to have been killed in our local community, and up to 40 are expected to have perished, and as a result, my humans dont feel it is appropriate to air their video. For the 100 plus families in our community who have lost their homes, our prayers are with you.

Vewy Scawy!

Hi Pups,

For those of you who know whats going on in our part of the world, today is supposidly the hottest day ever in our area, and Melbournes hottest day since 1939. I will get mom to do some calculations for my American friends later, but for those who understand celcius, right now it is 28 degrees celcius in our lab/cellar where me and Opy are, 42 in upstairs in the humans living room, and we are not sure about outside, because our thermometre only goes to fifty, and it topped out within two minutes of dad going outside with it. He says its in the low to mid 50's in the sun, and 48-50 in the shade. The problem is, the wind is gusting, and we have some VEWY SCAWY bushfires within a few miles of us (Pakenham, Druin & Warragul). It is easily the hottest day that me, stupid opy or our humans have ever seen, but we are ok. Dads lab is like a bunker, its underground and concrete (and yes, dad and I have aluminium foil beanies:), and we are ok. Mom and Dad have been filming today, so expect a movie soon.

Our new Hydro-Bath!

The human man that comes and fixes things that my dad breaks after he drinks silly water came today and started building me and STUPID Opy a bath in the house! How freakin cool is that!

I heard them calling it a "shower"? I'm not sure what that means, but I am pretty sure that when you translate into dogbark its means its going to be one of those sweet warm dog bathing hydro-bath machines..........SICK!

Here's me trying out my new shower thingy. I was worried that I might not fit, cos after all, they don't call me "The Big Dog" for nothin you know. It turns out that I just fit!

Hi Pups,

Im pretty jealous of all of the doggies who are playing in the snow at the moment, coz it's sooooo hot here in Melbourne. Luckily, we have been sleeping downstairs in dads lab, which is always cool and dark, but here's a photo we took of mums thermometer upstairs in the living room, and this is real, it has not been photoshopped!

I hope it cools down soon for all the pets who arent as lucky as us to be able to keep cool in dads air conditioned lab, and also because this heat makes my mum even MORE grumpy :)

And now, the BEST award!. Opy and I got an award from some of the true original dogs with blogs, Beagledom. The "friend" award.

This really means a lot to me, and my humans. We just LOVE Beagledom and although I don't get to visit anywhere near as much as I would like too (on the account of that there is over 1000 DWB members to visit now, as well as Cats with blogs, Pets With Pacemakers etc etc..) , to receive the friend award is pawesome because this truly displays the spirit of DWB. Even though we dont always get to comment, or even touch bases for quiet sometime, we know that Beagledom is there for us if we need them, and we are there for them.

R.I.P D-Animal

Hi Pups,

This might sound strange to all the newer DWB doggies, but it is a really sad day for DWB. The Original Vacuum Cleaner With Blog, D-Animal has gone to the Rainbow Bridge/Daisie Chain.

In the early DWB days, D-Animal was quiet a defining figure. A frequent commenter on the blogs, with a confusing and hilarious mix of wisdom and profanity, it was not un-common to see "Vroom Vrm Vrooom", and "Vrm Vrm Vrm Vroooom Vrmmer" posted in full public view.

Only D-Animal could get away with posting comments such as these in a public forum.

It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to the arch enemy of all k-9.

DWB is divided in two tonight. For those pups who, like me, enjoy a good tussle with technology, we loved to hate D-Animal, and will miss the sparring. Even though we were mortal enemies, we will miss you. You were the Ying to our Yang, the Bad to our Good, you balanced the equation.

For the rest of the pups who aren't so interested in galantry, R.I.B (Rest In Bits) you piece of crap!

Our thoughts and prayers are with T-Wolfs mom tonight in this difficult hour, but on the other hand, we celebrate and rejoice with Turbo, Lex, Roo, Meepie, Fargo & Angel Nikki!

My birthday was HEAPS of fun! I turned 13 in human years, and people are saying thats pretty old for a dog, but I dont think they realise I am a bionic dog Σ:o)

I got a REALLY special treat! Mum got me a cheeseburger! I havent had one of those for a LOOOOOONG time because of my bionic heart. Here's me posing for the photo with my burger:

And as usual, mum was taking to long to get her act together, so I had to take matters into my own paws.

I got LOTS of stuffies and chewies for Christmas too. But the best part is that my humans are home for the howlidays and spending lots of time with us. Lots of pats and belly rubs, and we even had a bath!

Hi pups....OH MY DOG! I can't believe it! I am going to be interviewed for a NATIONAL Australian newspaper about my pacemaker implantation! And that's not even the best part! A pup in Holland named Roscoe needs a pacemaker and his mommy found my new Pets With Pacemakers site and wants to talk about it Σ:o)

How Cooooool is that! (That we can help her and Roscoe through this. It's not cool that Roscoe needs a pacemaker, unless he wants to be bionic and use the Jedi Paw trick on his mommy to get food like I do Σ:o)

Hi Pups,

For those of you who haven't been informed yet, it turns out I am quiet adorable Σ:o)

Dad was taking magic pictures for Supercheap Auto's Christmas ad campaign, which doesn't really interest me because Supercheap don't have food, but I noticed something interesting in one of the photo's. Its pretty easy to miss, so I have discretely placed an un-obtrusive arrow on the photo so you can see what I am barking about, but doesn't ruin the images artistic integrity Σ:o)

Self Serve Toys

Hi Pups,

I went to see Dr Nick for a check up, and all is well! No problems at all! I guess that's why I have been REALLY fruity in the head lately, I just feel soooooo good Σ:o)

Dr Nick arranged the chew toys in his shop, and put all the good ones at dog level Σ:o)

As I was walking past a REALLY cool purple hippo caught my eye, so I helped myself, and I didn't even get into trouble! He makes the COOLEST squeeking noise! Check it out!

I really like the idea of a self serve chew toy display. Make sure you get your vet to re-arrange his store to suit you on your next visit too!

Now Meeshka said I have to share it with Stupid Opy, but I am not going. I am pretty sure Meeshka wasnt aware that Opy is actually Gimpy in the Brain when she wrote that, so I will keep it all to myself.

There has also been some rather disturbing talk on some blogs about my resemblance to Tori Spelling. There was even a rather disturbing image of me wearing my furs in the style of Ms Spelling:

My new Schmako-Berry Bold!

Hi Puppers,

I got a new Scmako-Berry Bold! It even has a blue teeth like my humans Gammy!

I have a Paws-Free head set too, which will work in well with my new bionic dog motif, but I will post a photo of that next time.

I was VERY happy to get it because my stupid I-Pawd is broken and doesn't work, so I am gonna give it to stupid Opy for Christmas this year Σ:o)

Here's me just chillin, and listening to The Wallflowers, and waiting for my Stargate Eps to download.

And why did I get a Schmakoberry? Well, now I am Bionic , I feel like a puppy again, and have lots of destructive energy. So Dad got it for me to keep me occupied so I don't go dumpster diving and shredding again in the trash bin.

And don't worry, all those pill bottles are actually my heart pills, and they were all double checked empty before being tossed out - much to my disappointment, my humans NEVER leave anything good laying around for me to chomp on Σ:o)

Its a Charlie Thing!

Hi Pups,

When I was a really little pup my humans bought a big red bucket full of doggy food. Well I ate all the food pretty quickly, but Im glad to say the bucket is still around and has always been one of my favorite play toys. For as far back as I can remember I have always liked to ride on it. I pretend it's a time machine and is taking me back to when I ate so much my tummy was twice as wide as normal. Ive done pretty well not to be caught riding it on film, but unfortunately today was the day that my sneeky dad caught me with the video camera.

We all have silly little things we do for reasons no one else can understand right? So what do you get up to when no one else is around?

In the wars again

Hi Pups,

My leg is way hurty these days. I had a little bit of a cough so the humans took me to see Dr Nick, who couldnt hear any cracklys with his hearer, and he also didnt think there was any need for an x-ray. Dad being the "FIX IT NOW!!!!" kinda guy he is, pushed pretty hard for them to do an xray to see what was going on. They wanted to make me sleepy so I wasnt all wiggly and batting my eyelashes at the nurses, but because of my bionic super dog powers now, I cant have the regular sleepy medicine, and I had to have this stupid thing called Opy-Yum? Well it doesn't sound to good, cos it starts with "Opy"! I knew there would be problems. So they gave me the Opy-Yum, took a magic pictcha of my breathers and it was all clear, good news. But when I wokeded up my back leg was WAAAAAAAY Hurty! I dont know if I slipped on the tiles, or I fell off the x-ray table or what? I cried and Cried because it was SOOOOO hurty. In the following days I had more x-rays and lots of different colored pills to help the pain go away. I ended up having another magic pictcha taken and my hip had popped right out of its socket! No wonder it was so hurty! I am still on lots of pills to help the hurty stop, and I think its getting better, I just need to rest and stay still for a while.

Hey Pups!

Hows Things? I hope you are all well!

Sorry I haven't written much lately, But my stupid dad has been hogging all my time. Its like I am a baby-sitter these days! He's all like "Savouring every moment with me" and "every day is a bonus". Here's a scoop daddy-O! - Everyday your gettin on my freakin nerves :-) I know you love me, and I know I am really cool and all, but seriously dude! A dog needs room to breathe!

Puppers, there is a down side to becoming a bionic pupinator. Your humans go STUPID! I thought it would be fun having cyborg powers, but since I got my pacemaker my humans haven't left me alone. Seriously! I fart and they take my pulse, cry, and drive me 40 miles to see the vet dude. Its ugly!

Anyways, Im doin HEAPS better. My furs is ULTRA soft! Its been pretty dry and course for a while, but its silky these days. Apparently thats because the blood is flowing properly through my super-sexy body now. I had a blood test recently, and they thought I had a kidney problem. But now after my Bionic Transformation, my kidneys are great! It was so funny, dad duct-taped some tupperware to a broom and caught my wiz :-) he's so stupid! I never cease to appreciate the humor in human stupidity :-)

Speaking of humans, I had some REALLY cool visitors. Tin-Tins humans came to visit! Now they are some COOL humans! Here's me with T-T's mum Jen, She is really nice. Notice T-T's dad with one of those magic picture boxes like my dad has - What is it with human boys and picture boxes?

Dog! How good do I look in this picture! Im one good looking Lab arent I!

I apologise that stupid Opy is in my and Jens photo's. I promise that as soon as I am bionic enough, I will dig a BIG hole and bury her in it :-) Hey, I nearly forgot, there's a new phrase that I hear a lot. Especially since we sleep in the same room as our humans now, "Shut Up Opy!". Hehehe - She snores heaps :-)

We also got a package on the mail from the Leura Dales. I opened it and it had biscuits, a photo and some chewy liver treats! COOL! As usual, I wanted to eat the photo but I wasnt allowed. Humans are stupid!

We were watching the magic picture box and saw this heaps cool JRT dominating some balloons! Dad and I REALLY hate balloons! They are SOOOOO stupid! Check him Out!

Back in hospital again

Hi Pups,

It's Greg here again (Charlies Dad)

Just wanted to let you know Charlie is back in hospital. My understanding of the problem is that as his body is healing from the surgery, forming scar tissue was affecting the ability of the pacemaker to deliver its charge to Charlie's heart, and he was fainting again. They have now increased the voltage charge from 2.5volts to 5volts which appears to have cured the problem. He has been under observation for about 48hrs now and hasn't had anymore incidents, so we are really hoping he can come home today. As usual, he has been dispencing kisses to the nursing staff and charming everybody by batting those long blonde eyelashes. I am sure he will be excited when we tell him that his "Chuckinator Powers" have been doubled :-)

I get some great things in the mail while I was in hospital too. I got a sweet card from Freda wishing me wells - Thanx Freda!

Transformation Complete!

Charlie had his operation today and it all went well! There were no complications, the pacemaker is doing its job, and he is awake and looking around.

They said they will be keeping a close eye on him tonight (he has a nurse 24hrs a day:-) and if all goes well hopefully he will be able to come home tommorow.

We are SOOOOOOO relieved!

First of all, Im feeling much better. As you know, Ive been pretty sick, and as a result I get extra treats.....I Mean pills :-)

I went back to the "Place where they take really cool dogs and turn them into Terminators" again today, and I met the guy who's going to do my transformation. His name is Pete Laverty, and he is REALLY cool! He gave me BIG hugs! And the best part, is he stopped my humans from being such cry-babies! Dog, they were gettin on my nerves with there "oooing and ahhing"....BUTTHEADS! We Googled him, and here's his details:

Dr. Pete Laverty

BVSc, MACVSc. Diplomate. ACVS (Small Animal Surgery)

Peter graduated from Melbourne University with an honours degree in 1985. Since then he has achieved a formidable academic and practical record. After 10 years in general small animal practice in Melbourne, he pursued specialist surgical training in the United States. He completed a Small Animal Internship at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. During this time he worked in an advanced emergency and critical care department, gaining valuable knowledge in this field. Dr Laverty went on to complete a Small Animal Surgical Residency at the Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Indiana.

While at Purdue, Peter became an integral part of the team at the Centre for Paralysis Research. This allowed him to pursue his interest in spinal cord injury and to develop expertise in neurosurgery. Other research projects undertaken at Purdue included the use of external skeletal fixaters for fracture repair in dogs, and the effect of extracorporeal shock wave therapy on bone healing.

In 2002 Dr Laverty was awarded Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Peter has been active in undergraduate and postgraduate training. Peter is an active participant in further education as a key speaker at conferences and seminars. He has lectured on topics that include:

spontaneous pneumothorax
portosystemic shunts
orthopaedic disease of the hip
nutrition of surgical patients
open patch graft repair on canines
pulmonic stenosis
pain management
feline renal transplant
soft tissue reconstruction techniques
photodynamic therapy for the treatment of canine prostate cancer

Peter has published numerous research papers, case reports and review articles.
Peter brings an extensive range of specialist surgical experience and skills to the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre. He routinely performs orthopaedic, soft tissue and neurosurgical techniques, which include:

fracture repair
tibial plateau levelling osteotomy
total hip replacements
brain tumour removal
spinal cord surgery
plastic surgery, etc

Cool Huh! He should have no problems turning me into "The Chuckinator!".
Well, I gotta get back to learning dad some prioritahs. He started doing that stupid "work" thing this afternoon, so I had to go and sit on his papers.............:-)

As you can see from this picture, I already have my scary laser eyes!

Back at the vets

**UPDATE 7.30pm**

We just had a phone call from Dr Davis, Charlie's vet in Sydney. He confirmed that a pacemaker is the way to go. He also told as that the specialists we are seeing are the best in the country, and that our relocation to Melbourne is a blessing in disguise as we are right where we need to be for this procedure. This is a real relief for us as Dr Davis has been Charlie's vet for 12 years, and to date has never been wrong about anything. He's an incredible vet and an even more incredible human being who's opinion means so much to us. This is really great news!

**UPDATE 7pm**

Hi Again,

We just got back from the vets, Charlie is here and DOG was he hungry! The poor guy wasnt allowed to have breakfast, and he couldnt eat until after his scans, so it's been a little over 24hrs since he ate. He is bright and rambunctious again tonight. Increasing his Frudix (diuretic) has really given him some relief (For those who aren't up on Charlie's condition, he has a Congestive Heart Disorder. The left ventricle and left atrium arent working in sync, and blood builds up in his arteries and cant flow properly.......apparently). He has been leaving tons of pee-mail:-) The medication has given him relief, but the solution is a pacemaker.
Right now his heart is beating at 48 beats a minute, and it should be 70-80. The pacemaker will instantly control his heart rate, and bring the ventricle & atrium back into sync.
The surgeons are very optimistic about the surgery. He is a perfect pacemaker candidate due to his otherwise excellent health, and generally good history. They will make a small insition in his groin and feed the pacemaker through his artery. They expect surgery to last an hour or so, and he will stay overnight for observation and come home the next day. He is seeing the surgeon on Thursday afternoon for another consultation, and at this stage they will install the device on Monday. Until then, we keep the Frudix up to him, keep him quiet, give him lots of hugs and love, and prey for a successful operation and speedy recovery.

I will try to keep you all updated as much as I can. We know a lot of people/doggies care about C$ and we will try to keep you posted with new developments as they arise. Having said that, our priorities right now are with C$, so things might slow down here, on Opy's blog, and with Dogs With Blogs in general.

It's Greg here, Charlie's stupid human dad.

Charlie had two seizures last night. I stayed with him all night and kept him calm and still. Our local vet said to increase his heart medication, which we did, and he seemed to be better this morning. As I type, he is at a Cardio Specialist having x-rays, ultra-sound, ECG and blood tests.

We really thought we were going to loose him again last night. He wen't down hill so quickly.

As soon as we know something I will post it here, but I'm really hoping he will be home tonight so he can tell you himself.

Hey Pups,

I heard SHD - SHM talking about getting some bats for our kennel. I got really worried, because I thought that would be pretty scary! And we don't have any berries for them to eat, or anything for them to hang off when they sleep upside down. And then I found out that they meant "BATTS", like roofing insulation :-) Im a silly sausage arent I!

Here's me checking out the batts. And SHD got his tools out and started some construction.

So we do have batts hanging from our roof now, but their not scary and we dont have to feed them!

Well its been interesting times at our kennel lately. Dad can't think of anything else at the moment apart from this stupid looking thing.

And when he is not boring us all to tears with that, he's talking about this other stupid "Half" human?

I don't get it? I think dad is REALLY loosing his marbles! Some kind of machine girl?

And me, well, I wanted to know what geo-caching was, and if it would help me find Freda. Dad said it would, and I needed a GPS? I wasn't sure what that was, but dad promised me he would help me and he wouldn't make fun of me. He told me if I stuck this GPS thing to my head, it would tell me how to find Freda - So I did.

This is me blowing raspberries at stupid Opy, because she doesn't have a GPS on her head!

Im so glad dad is home now. He went away to take magic pictures of stupid fast moving bogie-mobiles again.

And also the humans who drive them.

Its been getting pretty cold at our kennel lately, so mummy got us a "Pumpkin Eater"? I don't understand why she had to spend $300 on someone to eat pumpkins for us, when I'll do it for free, but she says its necessary, so I will go along with it, coz she's the only one with their head screwed on properly around here anyways. So here's me with the pumpkin eater.

It didnt share the pumpkins with me, so I thought it was stupid. Here's me not being impressed by the pumpkin eater.

Then dad got his tools out and started some kind of construction work.

And all of a sudden, the cold went aways! It was toasty warm in our kennel. I wonder if they meant "heater"? I can't see how a pumkin eater would make us warm?

WOW! It's REALLY nice in here now! I don't think we are going to be cold in the darks anymore!

But Im still waiting for my pumpkin meal!

Hi Puppers!

I hope you are all well!

I got some really good things in the mail again! There was a cool St Patricks Day card from Cubby & Dakota, and I was really good and only ate a little bit of it :-) Thanks Cubby & Dakota!

I was just chillin on my super cool cooling bed (I later found out that my humans didn't put water in it yet - stupid humans!)

And then our stupid postman came

(In case you missed it, the mailman throws the mail at the box as he drives past)

And there was a big package for me! Not me and stupid Opy, But JUST FOR ME! And it was from BESTEST BUDDY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD - HAMMER!

So I started to open it.

I couldn't wait until I had it open so I had a look inside.

And It was another package!

So I opened this one all by myself too!

Hey, This looks cool!

Its a toy Lion! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

I set about telling this feline the rules straight away! "Im a dog, and your a cat - I rule the world and you eat poo!"

Thanks Hammer for my cool present and card! I REALLY REALLY love it!

P.S. We just found out that Hot-Rod legend Boyd Coddington passed away - It's sad news at our house. We loved to hate that grumpy ol man, but we are really sad to hear he is no longer with us.

I got a cool "Get Well" card from Huskee-Boy. Thanks buddy, Im feelin MUCH better!

Humans are so stupid - they even have to take photo's of me while I have a drink.

And here's me getting caught trying to sneek into the house.

Also, some doggies have been having their blog feeds hijacked, so I barked at dad to make some copyright buttons like the linking buttons we already have. You can see all of the new buttons on the Bone Zone HERE

Hearts and Hearts

Hi Pups,

Here's what I look like on the inside - note my HUGE heart! Also, as we don't have one of those $50 boxes with the flourescent light inside that you look at X-Rays on, we used our $3000 Apple Cinema Display instead :-)

I also got a Get-Well card from my beautiful Freda.

I was very happy about this, so I sat down to read it

When all of a sudden a terrible accident happened - it was eaten BY A DOG!

I had heard of people saying that "A dog ate their homework", and never really believed it. But its true, it happened to me, a dog really did eat my card from Freda :-)

Oopsy, I guess that was me. I just loved my card so much I wanted it inside me so I could have it with me forever.

Thanks for the lovely card Freda. My dad is repairing it and its going to go in my scrapbook with all my other prized possessions.

I always new I had a big heart!

Hi Pups,

Well, I had another stupid seizure.

Dad took me back to see Dr Nick again, as it was obvious kennel cough wasn't the problem (But Im not saying sorry to the stupid dogs without blogs next door, kennel cough or no, they still STUPID!)

Dr Nick did an X-Ray to look inside me and found my heart was enlarged. I got some kind of heart condition that requires I get extra hugs and treats, so thats fine with me. I also get to have 6 more pills a day and thats ok to!

Congestive Heart Failure Dr Nick calls it. The pills make me feel SOOOOO much better. So much better in fact that I had to steal Opy's bone this morning, and Kick mum out of her bed last night!

I am going back to Dr Nicks on Monday, so I will try to get dad to take some pictures for you then. In the meantime, here's a video of me demolishing Opy's bone!

HUGE Thanks to my best buddy's Turbo and Bogie for writing about me on their blogs, and to all the other doggies who have left me comments wishing me well. I am doing much better now, and im so happy to know I have so many great friends who care about me. Thanks!

Feelin Better

Hi Pups

I hope you are all well.

The rumors are true, I have been a very sick boy. Firstly, I tore a cruciate ligament in my back right leg, that was really hurty, and I falded over a few times. Then I got the stupid kennel cough from those STUPID little white dogs WITHOUT blogs next door! I coughed and coughed, and got so sick that dad had to carry me. I was so tired, but I still made sure I ate my dinner:-) And then I had some kind of stupid seizure like T-Wolf has sometimes. Its still not certain why I had it, all my blood tests are perfect. I am a little low on glucose though, so maybe that was it?
I went to a 24hr vet surgery on Sunday darks and I am pretty sure it was a checkout-chick pretending to be a vet. She really didn't know anythings, but that was around the time I turned the corner. My humans think it was because I went for a ride in the car, which I really love.
I went and saw Dr Nick on Monday and he checked me over. He gave me a shot for my cough, and some yummy pills which have really helped.
The fun thing about being sick was that dad got the blow up bed out and stayed with me ALL night. I slept on the bed too, it was really comfy. I even kicked dad out cos he was taking up too much room, then he slept on the lounge chair and I had the bed:-)

I am feeling much better now and am ready to get back to work running Dogs With Blogs.

*HAPPY BELATED VALENTINES DAY* to my dearest Freda. I was thinking of you on this special day, and I hope you did something nice & Fun with your humans.

*I'm so glad Baby is home! That is really great news!

Why I Love Mum/Dog Sled Delivery

Hi Pupperoonies,

It's been no fun at my house this week. Rats chewed our phone lines, so instead of the humans at there magic typers updating our blogs, and tending to very important official Dogs With Blogs business, they were out in the stupid garden pulling out stupid weeds with there stupid freak paws, opposable thumbs and all! But finally today after almost a week, they are back in their place, and we are back in ours, asleep in front of the magic picture box! (I will wake up when Dawg the Bounty Hunter is on though, no Stargate today)

We got the COOOOLest postcard in the mail this week from the prettiest puppy on the net, Franki V. It was carried by Sled Dogs on the Gold Rush Trail. You can read all about it at The Dog Sled Mail Run. It looked REALLLY tasty, and I just couldn't wait to taste it, but dad wouldn't let me eat it. He said it was going into his "Prized Possession's Archive", whatever that is.

And mum did something really cool today. She went to the supermarket where we get our good chomping bones from, and she bought ALLLLLLL of them. There was not one bone left in the whole shop. Isn't she just the BEST! I was under the impression that seeing as how she bought them all at once, we could eat them all at once? Apparently that's not the case.

Human logic is SOOOOO flawed. But it was still a pretty cool thing to do though, dont you think?

Humans and fences.....again.

Just what is it with humans and fences?

Everytime there is something really good, they put a fence around it so you cant go there.

I was just having a chew, and minding my own business.

When it came time for my daily fenceline patrol. Ok Dad, I'll pose for a photo, but make it quick, I got Pee-Mail to leave!

Now this is where I got fenced out. We have a lovely Cactus in the yard. It has pretty flowers, and lots of really cool scratchies on it that I just love.

So imagine my shock when today I discovered it has been "Fenced Off"!

It might have something to do with how when I brushed up against it yesterday, those little needles were all over my coat, and when dad hugged me he got them in his hands and face....maybe....but I can't be sure? Surely not........dad needs his brain fenced off if thats what its all about?

Goodbye sweet scratchy cactus bush - I will remember fondly all the good scratchies you gave me.

P.S. Charlies Dad here - Don't worry, I have inspected C$ from head to tail to make sure he doesn't have any needles in him, he was just the carrier, I was the only victim. I have furminated his coat thoroughly to get all remaining needles off of him, and as you can see, fenced off the offending area. We were lucky this time.

Opy's mailbox is fixed! It got fulled up on the account of all the helmet photo's. Dad has increased her mailbox so now its almost as fat as she is:-) So keep sending in those pics!

1: For all those pups (And all other creatures) who's humans are having trouble with Photo-Shopping your mission helmets, Stupid Opy will be happy to help! So just email your photo to opy at gruffpuppy dot com dot au and she will put your helmet on, and email your photo back as soon as she can.

2: For those of you who have already got your helmet on, we need you to email your photo to Opy as well, because we need to put together a collage of all the pics, and make one beautiful big picture of all of us that you can download and print. Also, my dad is going to use his photo-giraffee skills and make a big professional framed print for Beau's Mum so she can hang it on her wall! Cool Huh!

Hi Pups,

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!
I hope you are having a wonderful time with your humans, and getting LOTS of hugs and treats!
We have been having tons of fun - we got LOTS of Christmas cards and gifts, and I want to say a BIG "Thank You" to all of our wonderful friends all over the world who sent us a card this year!

As you can see from this photo, Dad was wearing a STUPID Santa hat, and he was having a photo with STUPID Opy, so I just had to straighten this mess out.

So I went in to investigate, and even though Dad was wearing a really cool T-Fur, it still wasnt enough to stop me from correcting this "Wrongness!"

So I headbutted dad, and we were both down for the count, and it was a race to see who would recover first.

And of course, I was the victor! So I took that stupid hat right off his head, and started the destruction!

I managed to get the stupid white ball off the top, and put a few teefy marks in it, but mum took it off me before I could REALLY give it the ripping up it deserves.

I hope you are having as much fun as I am this holiday season!

Happy Barkday To Me!

Hi Pups,

All I wanted for my 12th barkday was for my dad to come home. He has been in Sydney making magic pikcha's of fast Bogey Mobiles. So I wished, and I wished, and I wished, and very very late last darks, he came home! Dad came home just to be with me on my barkday! How Cools!
So I spent my bark day making his arms and legs sticky with my "Dog Lick", and making really good smells from my bot-bot!
I have had a REALLY great barkday!
I cant show you any pikcha's, cos dad left his magic pikcha making box in Sydney. He has to fly back tommorows and make more magic pikcha's next week. But that's ok. I am so glad he came home to be with me today.
When he comes back to our kennel next week, I will make sure he helps me put some magic pikcha's of us on my blog. It's his barkday tommorow. I think he is 200 years olds. He got a REALLY cools "World Of Turbo" T-Fur in the mail this week, so I need to show you pikcha's of that too!
I'm sorry havent updated my blog much, or been to visit all of my friends on your blogs lately, cos dad has been away , and he helps me leave my thinks on your comments. But after next week, he will be here in our kennel for a whole munf! So I PROMISE I will barks REALLY louds at him to help me at blogging and leaving thoughts/comments in Jan-Paw-Uary!

Hi Puppers,

Well, stupid Opy finally said something not stupid. She told me about Dona Nobis Pacem. Now that's not the girl my dad went to school with, and if I remember what my teacher Alice Irwin told me correctly, it's Latin for "Give Us Peace" - Pretty cool huh!

So I barked dad to make all us Dogs With Blogs our very own Peace Globe, and here it is - please feel free to put it on your blog on November 7!

Now as you all know, the worlds best chance at peace is by electing "DWB Presidential Candidate Huricane Akara Turbofire", or as we know him around here, Turbo. So I made sure dad put the T-Wolf on our peace globe :-)

Instant Kennel - Just Add Alcohol!

Hey Puppers,

Well, life was just foin in Victoria when the humans went to sleepy's last darks, but when they woke ups, our little shanty (which didn't even last long enough to be photographed) had got all ripped and torn on the account of the foin Victorian weather (Wind and Rain).

So SHD (For the new DWB'er's, thats "STUPID HUMAN DAD") felt it was time to hit the Schnapps, and build us a kennel that could endure "TOTAL TEOTWAWKI"! (The End Of The World As We Know It).

SO, he got his two super battery powered drill's that combined, cost almost as much as a can of dog food (no place for quality tools in Dad's garage:-) and set about building the "Kennel From Hell!"

Gruffy had very little faith in Dad's carpentary skills as you can see from this photo :-)

Regardless of Gruffy's lack of faith, Dad got the "Skrews" out!

Now, for those of you who are wondering about the furs my Dad is wearing, its a "Ron Capps" T-Fur. Dad says Ron Capps is the best lookin human boy alive - Mum isn't so sure - what do you thinks?

Ron drives a car that has 8000 Khomet powers - And can drive a quarter mile in 4.5 seconds! Thats pretty fasts! I could get to Dr Davis's in no time in that mobile.

So he started with the floor:

But he got it all wrong, so I had to step in and show him how to do it right.

Then the walls went up, and Dad thought my "Bot Bot" might be a good place to put his "Silly Water" while he was building our house.

He's so funny! He's not much, but he's all mine and I Love him!

Then we put the front wall in, and posed for another pikcha - gee, mum is almost as bad as Dad with the magic pikcha box!

Then we had a little rest - it's hard work you know!

And next, the roof!

Now this is where things went "Hurty".

SHD cut his paw yesterday on our old tin kennel. The metal sliced his toe nice and deep, but it healed pretty good last night. Then he "Stubbed" the same toe again this afternoon. He barked some words I've never heard before? And I don't think I should tell you what they were:-)

And after much swearing and a bottle of "Black Douglas"silly water, we have a new "Wind-Proof" kennel!
